The Children's & Family Emmy Awards are a relatively new thing, with this only being the ceremony's third year. Personally, as a huge fan of animation, especially studying the all ages category, this was a very needed change. So many stellar series for kids were sadly put up against adult shows, which they would almost always lose to. Animation is a medium, not a genre, and yet all ages and adult series were after shoved together into one group. The Annie Awards have separated age categories for some time, and it was great to see the Emmy Awards follow suit.

Set in The High Republic era, Young Jedi Adventures follows the journey of three Jedi younglings named Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, and Nubs as they learn what it means to be a good Jedi. They go on adventures with their pilot friend Nash Durango and her droid RJ-83. Things aren't always easy as they often battle villains like the young pirate Taborr Val Dorn and his game or the capitalist Gozzo, Raxlo, looking to make a quick buck. The series is in its second season and won two of the above categories in last year's Children's & Family Emmy Awards.

You can watch Young Jedi Adventures on Disney+, Disney Jr., and some full episodes on Star Wars Kids YouTube Channel.
