Young Jedi Adventures recap: Get Well Nubs

We open the Young Jedi Adventures episode "Get Well Nubs" with Kai Brightstar and Lys Solay eating breakfast in the temple's cafeteria. They have a class trip that afternoon to the Kublop Geyser, but they realize their friend Nubs is missing.

They find Nubs in his room, and oh no! He's sick and shouldn't go on the trip. Kai and Lys don't want to leave their friend behind. Nubs suggest them find a Yara plant, which can help someone with a cold when its brewed in a tea. It's on top of a faraway tree so they need to get there fast to make it back in time for the class trip!

They check in with Master Zia Zanna, who is a bit nervous that it's just the two younglings together. She gives them each direction: for Lys to stay in the present and focus while Kai needs to slow down and take in his surroundings. With that, they head out!

On their speeders, they race along the water ways towards the trees. Lys gets distracted by cute fish, but Kai helps her to focus. Later, they reach a fork in the road. Kai wants to speed ahead, but Lys wants to take a moment to stop and look around. She notices giant Tenoo tree leaves floating on the water. Since they want to go to a big tree, that has to be the way!

They find the tree they're looking for, but it's massive. Like the height of a skyscraper massive, and Lys is worried if they can even climb it. Kai knows they can do it!

A montage follows with the two younglings working as a team! They help each other over the hard parts. They catch each other with the Force when they slip. The Jedi use their training and make it to the top of the tree, which has its own little ecosystem.

While looking for the Yara plant, Lys spots massive paw prints from a gangul. They need to be careful, because this creature does not like intruders near their homes. Despite Lys telling them to stay quiet, Kai sees the Yara plant, yelling in excitement and sprinting to it!

But oh no! This catches the attention of a gangul! The beast jumps out, stalking towards Kai. Lys, ever the animal lover, is enamored with the creature, watching it run. Kai has it distracted, and he shouts for her to get the Yara leaves! But the gangul is faster than she thinks! Both of the younglings get trapped in a little cave made of tree roots.

They're both upset they can't get to the Yara leaves for their friend. But Lys points out they only made it this far beacuse they worked as a team! Their differences balance each other, which is why they can succeed!

Kai makes a plan, using the Force to rustle bushes and distract the gangul. Lys sneaks out and gets the Yara leaves! However, she accidentally steps on a stick, snagging the creature's attention once again! They both pull out their lightsabers, the light scaring the gangul. It runs away, and the younglings have the leaves!

Later, Nubs sits with his friends, drinking his Yara leaf tea and feelings better. Together, the three Jedi younglings enjoy the Kublop Geyser together as a team. This is where Young Jedi Adventures "Get Well Nubs" comes to an end.
