This Week in Star Wars Comics: Ewoks invade the week!

Things are getting a little fuzzy This Week in Star Wars Comics. It's the anniversary of Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure this month, so it's only fitting there's a big focus on Ewoks this week. There is also a bit of The High Republic thrown in there too. Let's dive into it!

This Week in Star Wars Comics is all about Ewoks!

It's a battle for the heart of Endor and Bright Tree Village. While the Ewoks debate whether or not they should be welcoming to outsiders, bounty hunters 4-LOM and Zuckuss invade to search for Imperial weapons. Will this sway the debate to close welcoming offworlders for good, or can Wicket, along with the warrior Meedro, convince his people there are good people in the world? And who is the Red Ghost and what role does she play in all of this? Ewoks #2 is written by Steve Orlando, illustrated by Álvaro López, Laura Braga, and Antonio Fabela, and the cover artist is Pete Woods.

Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: The Original Marvel Years – Droids & Ewoks

Adding to the nostalgia of the month, it's also the anniversary of The Star Wars Holiday Special. This is why this trade paperback is so fitting! Straight from Star Wars Legends is the Epic Collection for the tie-in comics for the Droids and Ewoks. What does this have to do with The Holiday Special might you ask? It's because of the Boba Fett cartoon in the special by the company of Nelvana that we had these series, Lucasfilm Animation, and Star Wars TV as we know it (read all about that here!).

Star Wars: The High Republic Phase II – Quest of the Jedi Omnibus

The only non-fuzzy entry we have this week in Star Wars Comics (unless you count Vildar Mac's scruffy face) is The High Republic Phase II - Quest of the Jedi Omnibus. This is a collection of the Phase II issues of the mainline comics from The High Republic by Cavan Scott and The Blade by Charles Soule. It's a great way to catch up if you're behind on this era of storytelling.
