Did you ever want to see a couple of Jedi face off against a bunch of massive monsters in battle? Sure, The Clone Wars did this with the Season 2 episodes all about the Zillo Beast. What I mean is in the comics, with an all splash page issue? Now is your chance, so let's get into it.

This Week in Star Wars Comics, Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi face off against kaiju in Jedi Knights #3.

Jedi Knights #3

When a young senator from Alderaan named Bail Organa crash lands on a planet, Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn and his padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi are sent to find him. Only, there is something different about this planet: It's full of beasts as tall as buildings! Roaming kaiju-like monsters stand in the way of our heroes and the senator in need.

What makes Jedi Knights #3 unique is that this issue is entirely splash pages. In case you don't know, other than being my sign-off phrase each week, a splash page is a page that has an intricate, detailed single panel. They can be one or two pages and are usually the highlights of a comic issue. Splash pages are often the most iconic images we think of with comics. The fact that Jedi Knights #3 is entirely splash pages means this is not one to miss.

Jedi Knights #3 is written by Marc Guggenheim, illustrated by Madibek Musabekov, the colorist is Luis Gurrerro, the editor is Mark Paniccia, and the cover artist is Rahzzah. There are four variant covers for this issue, one being the Ramon Rosanas in the article above, which you can see here too. The other variant covers are by Dan Jurgens with the Classic Homage cover, Lightsaber Foil cover by Taurin Clarke, and one by Sara Pichelli. You can see them all on Wookieepedia.

That's it for This Week in Star Wars Comics! See you in the splash pages!
