March is here, roaring in like a Nexu and hopefully going out as gentle as a Nerf. After a big but somehow small month of February, this month will continue with the new ongoing titles and miniseries. However, the St. Patrick's month won't be outdone, kicking off with a new comic series and (finally) releasing the first of a graphic novel series. So let's get into it.

This Week in Star Wars Comics, we have Jedi Knights #1 and Hyperspace Stories: Qui-Gon.

Jedi Knights #1

When two planets break out into open warfare, Chancellor Valorum sends a group of Jedi Knights to investigate and help end the fighting. Jedi Knights opens its first issue introducing the players, which include pre-Sith Count Dooku, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan, Yaddle, Yoda, Shaak Ti, and more. The following issues will focus on one or two Jedi, with each of them getting a little story. This is great for fans of the prequel era to see your favorites. The series will also introduce into canon the scrapped Kenner toy villain Atha Prime in the coming issues.

Jedi Knights #1 is written by Marc Guggenheim, illustrated by Madibek Musabekov, and the cover artist is Rahzzah.

Finally! After delays, Hyperspace Stories: Qui-Gon is here! I will admit I was getting impatient for this title. Since it was announced in 2023, I loved the idea of standalone graphic novels. Also, Qui-Gon Jinn is one of my favorite Jedi, and I always need more of him in my Star Wars. While we already know we're going to get several more characters like Grievous to get their own book, I hope this does well. Ongoing series are a beast on their own right, each issue having to end with some sort of cliffhanger to get a reader to pick up the next issue. However, a graphic novel can just tell the story in its own pace and doesn't have to be confined the way a trade paperback made up of single issues have to.

Hyperspace Stories: Qui-Gon follows the titular character and his padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi will investigate a dark side Force cult called The Brotherhood of the Ninth Door. Somehow, these people have ties to recurring events in Qui-Gon's life, leading the Jedi Master down a winding investigation to discover the truth. Written by The High Republic writer, George Mann, Hyperspace Stories: Qui-Gon is illustrated by Andrea Mutti and cover artist is Michael Cho.

That's it for This Week in Star Wars Comics! See you in the splash pages!
