While we wait for the onslaught of book and comic news from Star Wars Celebration this weekend, we have one title holding down the fort This Week in Star Wars Comics. The tyrant of the First Order finds himself in quite the predicament in the clutches of Gardulla the Hutt. Let's get into it.

This Week in Star Wars Comics is The Legacy of Vader #3

Kylo Ren is in a bit of a jam in this month's entry of his miniseries. He's been on the hunt for answers about his grandfather, Darth Vader, which has led him to the planet of Tatooine, the home of Anakin Skywalker. Being guided by Vader's once servant, VaneƩ, Kylo decided to target and get revenge on Gardulla the Hutt, the slimy crime lord who once enslaved Anakin and his mother, Shmi.

However, the last issue had Kylo Ren run into a problem: After the death of Jabba at the hands of Jedi Luke Skywalker, Gardulla had hired her own Force user. This "weird little guy," as writer Charles Soule has called him on his Twitter account, caught Kylo off guard, leading to his capture. Now in issue #3, at the hands of Gardulla, the young leader of the First Order endures torture and madness as the Hutt tries to break him and make him submit to her will.

Star Wars: The Legacy of Vader #3 is written by Charles Soule, the artist is Luke Ross, the letterer is Joe Caramagna, the colorist is Nolan Woodard, and Derrick Chew rounds out the crew as the cover artist. There are two different variant covers for this issue by Stephanie Hans and Rafael Albuquerque, which you can see on Wookieepedia.

That's it for This Week in Star Wars Comics. Next time, we get our second manga of the month, which you can see a sneak peek here. See you in the splash pages!
