After the fun of Free Comic Book Day, May has officially kicked off for Star Wars comics! It's a big week too, as a brand new era of comics will begin, moving into the post-Return of the Jedi era. There's also some Bad Batch and trade paperbacks too, so let's get into it.
This Week in Star Wars Comics, it's Star Wars (2025) #1, The Bad Batch: Ghost Agents #3, and more.
Star Wars (2025) #1
What happens after you win a galactic civil war? Leading is hard, something that our original trilogy heroes are finding out in the new Star Wars mainline comic. They beat the Empire; now it's time to lead. However, in the power vacuum of the Empire, the Underworld isn't going quietly. Luke Skywalker and Han Solo investigate two different incidents while Leia Organa takes on the fledgling New Republic government.
Star Wars (2025) #1 is written by Alex Segura and the artist and cover artist is Phil Noto.
Hyperspace Stories: The Bad Batch—Ghost Agents #3
A masked thief has taken important Republic intel on their location of spies who could turn the tide of the Clone Wars. The Bad Batch is on the case and have caught up to his enemy. However, as the person has the Force and red lightsabers, Clone Force 99 has more than they bargain for in Asajj Ventress!
Hyperspace Stories: The Bad Batch—Ghost Agents #3 is written by Michael Moreci, the illustrator is Reese Hannigan, and the cover artist is Valeria "Lux" Favoccia.
Star Wars: Ahsoka - Season One

The first of two trade paperbacks out this week is Star Wars: Ahsoka - Season One. I'm going to to rehash for the millionth time my thoughts on the show adaptations; instead, read this great article from one of our writers who summed it up perfectly. If you've seen Ahsoka, you've read this comic. It's written by Rodney Barnes, and the cover artist is David Nakayama.
Star Wars: Darth Maul – Black, White & Red Treasury Edition

The other trade paperback this week is fancy as it has the words "Treasury Edition" in it. Star Wars: Darth Maul – Black, White & Red Treasury Edition is just a hardcover version of the exact same trade paperback that came out in January. The two have the same page numbers, and the hardcover doesn't seem to have extra content. It's just a hardcover for $10 more than the trade paperback. Unless you're a fan of hardcovers, I'd skip this one, but that's just me.
That's it for This Week in Star Wars Comics! See you next time in the splash pages!
