New and exciting details regarding the next Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer have emerged, thanks to the diligent work of the folks over at Star Wars Underworld and our friends at Making Star Wars. I should warn you now, however, that the rest of this article will be full and enriched with SPOILERS for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, so turn back now, if you wish to remain as unspoiled as the newly fallen snow on Hoth.

SWU has revealed a brand new art still of a scene from the next Force Awakens trailer, that includes Han Solo, Rey, and Finn.

According to MSW, the reason we do not see Chewbacca in this art still, is because he is in the back of the Millennium Falcon, recuperating from wounds he suffered at the hands of some space pirates aboard a gigantic freighter that had swallowed the Falcon after Rey and Finn use her to escape the Empire’s forces.

"“Chewbacca is in the back recuperating from his injury with the pirates on the Gigantic Freighter. After they leave the freighter in the Falcon, BB-8 shows the saber and they fly to the jungle world. Rey is overcome by the green she’s seeing. Finn asks who they are seeing and Han says “her,” which is “Rose.””"

Rose seems to be the mysterious female, possible Jedi master/knight, who somehow has a connection to Luke. It’s unclear at this point in Rose will train Rey with the saber that BB-8 has, or they are merely returning it to its rightful owner.

SWU postulates that the green planet is Yavin IV, and that there is a Jedi Academy on the planet, run by Rose, or possibly Luke. This planet is a jungle planet where a lot of the action will take place. There has also been a castle-like structure described, on this jungle planet, and it may be the Jedi Academy.

SWU also has a detail of the next trailer, that hasn’t been shown on any other website, until MSW and Dork Side, now.

"“The opening sequence begins on the desert landscape, a dusty star destroyer crashed into the sand. Looks like it’s been there for many years. Following cut, characters Rey and Finn and our favorite rolling robot BB-8 are making their way through a crowd in the fleamarket a very Tatooine-ish type of scenario. Next, we have Rey looking through the trees, in a Yavin like scenario, as TIE fighters fly overhead The next scene he told us about, were pilots running to their ships in their old-school style X-wing gear… yeah… orange! Now it really starts to get interesting… Towards the end of the trailer, from behind, we will see Han Solo, vest and all. Complete traditional garb, the way we remember his, as he sits down and re-aquiants himself with the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon. As if this wasn’t good enough – brace yourselves – because this last scene has not been described by any other website yet. As far as we know, this is an exclusive… This last scene shows a gloved hand pulling something out of a pile of ash. As it comes into the clear, it begins to take the shape of Vader’s former helmet… what’s left of it. Here’s the interesting part: Remains of a skull still reside in the helmet.”"

Remember the end of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi? No…not the dancing Ewoks and that song that is forever burned into my brain, on loop. No, I’m talking about when Luke burned Anakin, in his Darth Vader armor, on his funeral pyre.

"“I burn his armor and with it the name of Darth Vader. May the name of Anakin Skywalker be a light that guides the Jedi for generations to come… Rest well, father. The Force is with you.” ~Luke Skywalker – Return of the Jedi"

Does that mean that our big bad Sith from the first trailer, Kylo Ren, goes to Endor to retrieve Vader’s mask, which still holds Anakin’s skull inside?

It sure seems to be all adding up. I don’t know why or how Kylo Ren knows where to find Darth Vader’s burned remains, but one thing is becoming clear, he definitely is tuned into Vader, in some way.

The next trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be shown at the Star Wars Celebration, in one week, and Dork Side will have its very own Kyle Warnke there to cover all the happenings, so stay tuned, it’s about to get exciting!
