Turtle Beach Introduces Sandtrooper Gaming Headset for Battlefront

When playing any video game, it’s always important to have the proper gear. Star Wars video games are no exception; and with Star Wars: Battlefront promising to be a gaming experience like no other, it’s only appropriate that your most important accessory, your headset, should be one-of-a-kind, as well.

Enter Turtle Beach with the Sandtrooper headset, a unique design based off the Sandtroopers seen in A New Hope, complete with an orange detail to represent the distinctive shoulder pauldron.
As with most companies that work with Star Wars, the crew at Turtle Beach had some huge fans of the franchise who were excited to be making this iconic headset.

The Sandtrooper headset was clearly designed with gamers’ best interests at heart; but more than that, it promises to make playing Star Wars: Battlefront a truly Star Wars experience, with “an over-ear design for extended comfort, a removable high-sensitivity boom mic, and thundering 50mm speakers to deliver sound the way Star Wars is meant to be heard.”
Attendees of PAX Prime in Seattle this weekend will be able to preview the headset at the Turtle Beach Booth.

The standard edition of this headset, which includes one set of removable speaker plates that allows the wearer to show their love for other Star Wars characters as well as “iconic franchise moments.” The standard edition will be available in the Australia, the United Kingdom, and select parts of Europe, while in the U.S. there will be a limited edition headset available only at Best Buy. The latter will include an extra set of swappable speaker plates at no additional cost. Both versions are available for preorder.
The limited edition of this Sandtrooper headset (which is, once again, a Best Buy exclusive) will cost $99.95. Its release will coincide with that of Star Wars: Battlefront on November 17th.
