Darth Vader Clip Promises Darkness in Star Wars Rebels

Yesterday, a new clip from the Star Wars Rebels season two premiere, “The Siege of Lothal,” promising darkness, danger, and powers beyond the abilities of our team of heroes and heroines, was unveiled.
Or perhaps, the better word would be, “unmasked?”

In the season two premiere episode, the rebels have more than met their match in the form of Darth Vader, who has come to the planet of Lothal to deal out justice to those who are daring to oppose the Empire. His loyal Inquisitor, Agent Kallus of the Imperial Special Forces, even Moff Wilhuff Tarkin… all have failed to put an end to the rebels’s activities. And when all your best assets have failed you, that’s when it’s time to bring in your super weapon (and Vader is about as dangerous as the Death Star).
“If that doesn’t kill him, what will?”
“Not us!”
I can’t wait to see this episode. There’s just something about seeing Vader in action, doing damage and causing both the good guys and the guys on his side to quake in their boots with fear, that screams “epic” to me. It will also be the first time that we’ve really seen Vader using both his lightsaber and the Force to take down a group of people. We’ve seen him duel with Obi Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker, and we’ve seen him choke the life out of Rebel and Imperial officers; but we’ve never really seen him bring all of his powers to bear on a group of people and just scare them to death. I can’t help but feel that there’s something wrong with wanting to see that, but I can’t seem to help it. Mr. Lucas, you created such interesting villains!
The hour-long “The Siege of Lothal” premieres June 20th at 9 pm EST, on Disney XD.
