UPDATE: 11:30am 8.21.2015 — Empire has just now revealed their Heroes version of the Winter Preview featuring Star Wars: The Force Awakens!

Just last week we had Entertainment Weekly gift us with an amazing behind-the-scenes look at Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Their Fall Movie Preview was filled with interviews with director J.J. Abrams, never before seen photos from the film, and interesting stories from the set of Episode VII. Today, Empire Magazine has done their part, with the announcement that their Winter Preview will also feature Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

This is just the first of two covers the magazine plans on rolling out on August 27, for their October Winter Preview. From Empire’s announcement:

"“It’s been a long time coming but Empire’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens issue will hit newsstands on Thursday next week with our first look behind the scenes of 2015’s most important release. There are two exclusive, fold-out covers to choose from and the first of the pair is revealed below, featuring the villainous triumvirate of Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren, Domhnall Gleeson’s General Hux and Gwendoline Christie’s Captain Phasma.”"

This is a fantastic look at the villains of The Force Awakens, and I absolutely can’t wait to get my eyes on the “good guys” cover. I can only assume that Daisy Ridley’s Rey, John Boyega’s Finn, and Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron. Although Empire could go a completely different route with the original cast of Harrison Ford’s Han Solo, Carrie Fisher’s Leia, and Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker. The opportunities are endless here, and I am sure Empire Magazine will blow us away with loads of new images and stories for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
