Disney Interactive adds Kylo Ren and Poe Dameron to Infinity 3.0

Disney Interactive and Lucasfilm have officially announced that two new characters from Star Wars: The Force Awakens – Poe Dameron and Kylo Ren –  will be playable in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Play Set, the third Star Wars Play Set for Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition. The set is now available for pre-order, and already includes the Finn and Rey character figures, and will be released on December 18.

Here’s the official Press Release from Disney Interactive and Lucasfilm:

"“In Star Wars: The Force Awakens Play Set, players will travel to a galaxy far, far away alongside new heroes and old friends in search for a much-needed ally.  Playable characters include Finn, a soldier on a path to adventure and danger, and Rey, a true survivor who is resourceful and capable. Both will join Poe Dameron, the trusted pilot of the Resistance who uses his expert flying skills to travel the galaxy, and Kylo Ren, an enforcer for the First Order who terrorizes the galaxy with devious acts.”"

It’s a smart move to include Kylo  Ren in this playset. You can’t have all good guys without balancing them out with a bad guy or gal. I really hope we get to see Captain Phasma added as part of an expansion, down the road. Disney Interactive has included some official first look gameplay stills, as part of the announcement. Check them out.

We’ve got Rey, Finn and Poe in what appears to be a scrapped hunk of junk on Jakku.

Here’s some of the toybox figures to go along with your Disney Infinity characters.

Poe

Rey

Finn

And of course the big-bad, Kylo Ren. I like this guy the best.

As mentioned, the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Disney Infinity 3.0 playset will be released the same day as the film hits theaters, December 18. So, you’ve got plenty of time to get your pre-orders in.
