Preorder Target’s exclusive Star Wars: The Force Awakens soundtrack today.
Per Making Star Wars, Target.com now has an exclusive edition of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens soundtrack available to preorder. The album comes with an “Exclusive outer cover & 2 collectible trading cards.”
Check out the cover below.
Currently, the album is listed at $12.99. It may cost more when it hits store shelves, so it may be a good idea to purchase it now.
There’s no track list for it, of course (I think Lucasfilm learned their lesson about releasing movie soundtracks before theater premieres with “Qui Gon’s Noble End”). A track list did leak from Amazon France, but American websites, at least, are keeping it under wraps.

As far as we know for sure, most if not all of the music we’ve heard in recent trailers for Episode VII have been composed by other artists, while the maestro, John Williams, focuses on the actual score. However, that doesn’t mean what we’ve heard has not been influenced by what he’s already created. Before we knew Williams didn’t score the first full trailer, which was released a couple months ago, we speculated we could learn something by paying attention to the use of particular themes and the repetition of musical cues in key sequences.
