British tabloid paper The Daily Star posts a picture of an X-Wing flying backwards and shooting lasers out of its engines.
ICYMI: 5 Actors we know will be in Episode VIII.
It’s fantastic to be getting a new Star Wars movie, no one is arguing that it’s not. It’s wonderful that Disney is going to make a Star Wars park. All the new Star Wars toys and video games are going to be so much fun. Just remember that where there is joy and light there must also be a darkside.
The darkside of Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens for me is that we are going to have to take all the good coverage and Star Wars info with the bad. Take this spread in British tabloid The Daily Star, found by redditor rampant_bordom for example:
Yes that is an X-Wing flying backwards and shooting lasers out of its engines. Either the rebellion is getting desperate and inventing some wacky weapons and this is the rebel version of the the Focke-Wulf Triebflügeljäger (Google it), or this layout was put together by someone who has no Star Wars knowledge whatsoever. I’m guessing it’s the latter.
Yes Star Wars is about to get bigger than it has ever been before which means the number of awful inaccurate things we will see about Star Wars is going to expand exponentially. We do have one advantage though, at least Michael Bay isn’t in charge or this new movie… I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU FOR WHAT YOU DID TO BUMBLEBEE YOU COLD HEARTED MONSTER!

True Star Wars geeks like you and I will just have to be Zen about this kind of thing and know that it’s not the end of the world if newbs don’t understand that Ewoks grow up to be Wookies.
