Rogue One Casting News: Imperial Officer
We have more Rogue One casting news today, as the rumor that an Imperial Officer has been cast…
Jedi News, a site that has been very reliable as to casting news and filming information for the Star Wars saga, has some information today on the casting of an Imperial Officer for Rogue One. According to the site, actor Guy Henry ( Pius Thicknesse in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Part 2), has joined the cast as an Imperial Officer.
As you can see, Mr. Henry does strike quite the Imperialistic pose, befitting of an officer in Emperor Palpatine’s Galactic Empire. In fact, since Rogue One is going to take place before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope, it is not a stretch to think that Henry could be cast as Governor/Grand Moff Tarkin.

The only drawback to Henry being Tarkin is that he is considerably younger looking than the original actor to play Tarkin — Peter Cushing. However, he could be aged-up a bit with makeup and there would be no problem passing him off as the infamous Star Wars villain.
Besides his stint in Harry Potter, Guy Henry’s other acting credits range from many BBC shows — like Holby City — and film work in V for Vendetta. But, his main work continues to be with the Royal Shakespeare Company, where he has played various roles.
We want to hear from you. Do you think Guy Henry could be Grand Moff Tarkin? Or, do you think he simply another faceless Imperial Officer, just waiting to be Force Chokes by Darth Vader? Let us know in the comments and on social media.
