This summer, you’ll be able to journey to the part of the galaxy far, far away you saw in Star Wars: The Force Awakens in brick form. Or rather, in video game form, but everything will be made out of bricks.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, The LEGO Group and Lucasfilm joined forces today to officially announce LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The latest in a lengthy line of TT Games titles based on popular IPs, the game will launch on June 28 and “introduce brand new gameplay mechanics to build, battle and fly through the galaxy like never before” while also promising to explore the time between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens in greater detail.

More from Star Wars Video Games

“We’re extremely proud of the LEGO Star Wars videogames, truly an incredible franchise that has sold more than 33 million copies and helped ignite a passion for numerous fun-filled LEGO games enjoyed by countless gamers around the world,” TT Games Managing Director Tom Stone said in a press release. “LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be pushing the series forward with innovative new gameplay mechanics, while also exploring new parts of the universe that are sure to excite and delight both LEGO and Star Wars fans, as well as newcomers to our games.”

One of those new mechanics is an enhanced “Multi-Builds” system that will give players options as to what to build in various parts of the game. TT Games is also touting new Blaster Battles and plenty of vehicle stages so fans can fly famous ships like the Millennium Falcon.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will release on a wide variety of platforms, including PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC and Nintendo’s handhelds. However PS4 and PS3 owners will receive exclusive DLC consisting of a Droid Character Pack and Phantom Limb Level Pack.

More information on the game is available on the PlayStation Blog, but we’ll also have plenty more right here on Dork Side of the Force in the weeks to come.
