The Season 2 finale of Star Wars Rebels will air this Wednesday at 9pm ET on Disney XD, and the stakes for the three Light Side Force Wielders — Ezra, Kanan, and Ahsoka — have never been so high…
Thanks to an all new clip from USA Today, we have a look at an all new Inquisitor, and a closer look at that way cool tri-blade lightsaber that Ezra picked up in the trailer for Season 2B. What we do know abou the hours long Season 2 finale, is that it will be Jedi and Sith centered, because we’ve already said goodbye to the other Rebels, in last week’s episode, so prepare for lots of lightsaber battles and emotional Force conflicts between former apprentices and masters in “Twilight of the Apprentice.”
Unfortunately, we can’t embed the video, but you can click THIS LINK and watch the video at USA Today.
We don’t know the name of the new mysterious Inquisitor, but if naming of the others hold suit, then I’m sure it will be something to do with a number and “brother.” Also, what I really love about this episode, is that the old Expanded Universe is being called up from retirement, as the Sith Temple that our Jedi (or Light Side Force users…if you’re being picky about it) are visiting, is on Malachor.

The Star Wars Rebels Season 2 finale promises to be an exciting and heart pounding episode, where we may or may not lose one or more of our favorite characters. “Twilight of the Apprentice” could hold many meanings: Ahsoka was once Anakin Skywalker’s (Darth Vader) apprentice. Darth Maul was once Emperor Palpatine’s apprentice, and Maul will be in the finale. Ezra is Kanan’s apprentice, and the Inquisitors are Vader’s apprentices…so to speak. So as you can see, it’s all one big convoluted mess. (Not really)
For even more feels, watch Ahsoka and Anakin’s relationship grow and fall in one trailer.
So get ready for Wednesday night’s episode and bring lots of tissue, because something tells me we’re going to need it. The Star Wars Rebels Season 2 finale will air on Disney XD at 9pm ET.
