Star Wars Celebration Live-Stream Schedule Announced

The Star Wars Celebration in London, England, is rapidly approaching, and the live-stream schedule has been released for the various panels…

Thanks to StarWars.Com, we now know which panels will be live-streamed and where. The newly minted Star Wars Show will be making it all happen, which is a brilliant idea on the part of Disney and Lucasfilm, as it ties in an already established medium to the fans who aren’t able to make it to London, and allows them all to see what’s happening at the beautiful ExCeL London Exhibition Centre.

According to StarWars.com, here’s the current slate scheduled to be live-streamed on the show:

"The Star Wars Show LIVE, streaming from Star Wars Celebration Europe beginning Friday, July 15, through Sunday, July 17, will feature celebrity guests, interviews with Star Wars creators, must-see panels, and much more."

  • Andi Gutierrez and Peter Townley of The Star Wars Show will host the show throughout the celebration, bringing the fans not in physical attendance, all the action, as it happens.
  • The big draw will be the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story panel on July 15, 11 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. PT, which is  presented by Verizon. Director Gareth Edwards will join Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and “special guests” for a discussion on the highly-anticipated film which is set to debut in theaters worldwide on December of this year.

So it appears as if the Star Wars show just plans on showing just about every major panel…or at least all the action of importance.

Also, we expect huge things from the Rogue One panel, as yesterday we told you that Disney/Lucasfilm plans to air a brand-new three minute trailer for the film. I’m sure the internet and everyone in attendance at the ExCeL London Exhibition Centre, will be anxiously awaiting that massive reveal.

Of course, if you stay tuned to Dork Side of the Force, we will be covering every second of that live-stream. We will of course break-down that trailer frame-by-frame, and then we will also make GIF’s of the trailer…so stick with your pals at Dork Side, we’ll get you through it all.

As you can see, among others, special guests include Star Wars: Episode VIII director Rian Johnson (let’s all hope for some kind of reveal from that film), Chris Miller and Phil Lord, the directors for the Young Han Solo standalone film, and of course the captain of the Lucasfilm ship, Kathleen Kennedy. I expect Kennedy to be a part of all the major Star Wars film panels, to ensure the proper things are said, and revealed…just like last year.

The Star Wars Celebration in London looks like it is going to be even more exciting that 2015 from Anaheim, where we really only got the trailer from The Force Awakens, and sketch art and a voice over from Obi-Wan Kenobi for Rogue One. This year has all the potential in the world to blow the doors off the Star Wars fandom…are you ready?
