A cable listing for July 15th shows a new three-minute Rogue One trailer scheduled to premiere on ABC.

Making Star Wars discovered a cable listing for Friday, July 15th showing a new three-minute Rogue One trailer scheduled to premiere on ABC.

The date coincides with the beginning of Star Wars Celebration Europe and its first major event, a Rogue One panel hosted by Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and director Gareth Edwards.

A look at the making of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is also scheduled for the same time slot. Both it and the trailer appear to comprise a special program which will air from 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm the evening of July 15th. In such a large gap, it’s difficult to pinpoint when the Rogue One trailer will show, but most likely The Force Awakens program will gradually build up towards it at the end of the hour.

The Rogue One panel will be livestreamed from London at 16:00-17:00, or 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm. London time is five hours ahead of the U.S. Eastern time zone, so we could expect the new trailer to hit the internet by 9:00 pm EST Friday evening. That time matches up with the listing for the Star Wars program on ABC.

We could also be seeing other trailers out of Celebration Europe, like an Episode VIII teaser or behind the scenes look like we got at San Diego Comic Con for The Force Awakens last year. A trailer for the third season of Star Wars Rebels is all but imminent with two episodes of the new season scheduled to be screened. It’s nice to have one confirmed, though, so keep an eye on YouTube or watch ABC Friday, July 15th to see three minutes of Rogue One goodness.

We’ve been anticipating Celebration Europe for so long, it’s hard to believe we’re only a little over a week away from the event and all the juicy Star Wars news it will have to offer. It came as a surprise to me, then, that we’d be getting a Rogue One trailer so early, until I remembered Celebration starts July 15th. It’s a happy reminder great things are on the way. Keep checking Dork Side for all the latest updates out of Star Wars Celebration, July 15th-17th.
