During tonight’s Olympic coverage on NBC, an all new trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story aired. As promised, brand new footage was shown, which shed a bit more light on the Rogue One Story. So, without further adieu, here’s the trailer. Enjoy!
What an exciting trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story! I’m not sure if any of this new footage reflects the reshoots that the film underwent a few months back, but I can say for myself, I loved what I saw on the screen.

Rogue One is clearly a much darker and grittier Star Wars story than what Star Wars fans saw in The Force Awakens, which is a good thing. This film is all about the infancy of the Rebel Alliance, and how they are trying to thwart the Emperor’s new and oppressive Galactic Empire, by stealing the plans to the super-weapon, the Death Star. Yes, this film will be darker than most Star Wars films we’re used to.

- Mads Mikkelsen as Galen Erso, Jyn’s father.
- Alan Tudyk as K-2SO, a Rebel-owned Imperial enforcer droid.
- Jonathan Aris as Senator Jebel.
- Genevieve O’Reilly, reprising her role as Mon Mothma from Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
- James Earl Jones, reprising his role as the voice of Darth Vader for Rogue One.
Rogue One hits theaters worldwide on December 16.
