Get ready for a walk down nostalgia lane with Hasbro’s all new Star Wars Simon game…
Hasbro has officially released information on its new take on a classic game with Star Wars Simon. The game was exclusively revealed through Gizmodo, and as the site notes, Star Wars Simon will be available in the spring of 2017, and will cost around $25.
Instead of the usual Simon classic shape, Star Wars Simon is shaped like Darth Vader’s head, and in place of random tones, Star Wars Simon plays Vader’s theme: The “Imperial March,” as well as Vader’s infamous breathing sound. It really is the perfect way to enjoy an old classic.

"Jedi must use the Force to defeat Darth Vader in the STAR WARS SIMON Game! Remember the flashing light sequences on this unique game unit designed like Darth Vader’s mask and repeat the pattern back correctly to play to the beats of the iconic Imperial March. Do. Or do not. There is no try against the STAR WARS SIMON Game! The STAR WARS SIMON Game features Darth Vader’s iconic breathing sounds and requires 3 AAA batteries, not included. Available at most major retailers nationwide and HasbroToyShop.com."
This really is a neat twist on Simon, a game that many folks from my generation (Gen-x) played as children. And, even at age 42, I plan on picking up this game, so I can play Simon to the tune of the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader.
