Watch Star Wars Forces of Destiny Episode 2: BB-8 and Bandits

Rey and BB-8 are at it again in an all-new Star Wars Forces of Destiny animated short…

When last we saw Rey and her trusty sidekick BB-8 on the desert planet of Jakku, they were busy fighting off a hungry sand beast who though BB-8 was nothing more than a rolling piece of junk. Well, thanks to the quick thinking of Rey, who may or may not have tapped into the Force to help her along the way, the day was saved, BB-8 and Rey made it home safely, and the sand beat went away happy after Rey fed it some scrap, which in the long run was only worth about one-quarter portion.

Today, Lucasfilm has released the second part of that adventure, which sees Rey and BB-8 fight for their lives against Teedo and his bandits. Check it out:

"Rey and BB-8 take off on a speeder to flee scavenger thugs who want to steal BB-8."

Boy, it sure does pay to be nice to all of the creatures roaming the scrap metal wasteland of Jakku. Had Rey not fed him earlier, perhaps he wouldn’t have been so inclined to help Rey and BB-8 in their hour of desperation.

I love that these animated shorts show what could have happened in between the characters of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, in a deleted scene format.
