Vader concept artwork, for the upcoming Marvel Star Wars comic releases, will leave you breathless…

So far, the Darth Vader (2017) comic run has been a fun ride, to say the least, showing early teachings from his Sith Master Darth Sidious, to tracking down hidden Jedi, and learning to come to terms with his new path within the Dark Side of the Force. This story arc has added much depth to an already flushed out character.

Starwarstimeline.com recently revealed some new cover artwork for two upcoming issues, revealing possible plot details for the comic’s concluding story arc.

This concept art for Darth Vader (2017) Issue #7 shows Vader in a meditative trance over the fiery world of Mustafar, where he was defeated during the events of Revenge of the Sith by his former Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. This concept artwork hints that we will see Vader in-fact return to this planet, most likely with the purpose of dabbling deeper into the Dark Side of the Force, by fueling his hatred and anger. The importance of Mustafar within Vader’s history is becoming vitally important the more new canon material is released.

The second concept art for Darth Vader (2017) Issue #8, the final issue of the comic run, we see Vader with a group of Dark Side Inquisitors, which includes The Grand Inquisitor, The Fifth Brother, The Seventh Sister, the Eight Brother, and at the top of the screen, who we cannot fully see, is most likely the Sixth Brother from the Ahsoka novel.

The appearance of these Dark Side Jedi hunters presents a few questions. Are we going to see the training of these Inquisitors in the actual comic? Will their origins be officially revealed? I have always thought that they are (some of) the same Force sensitive younglings that Darth Sidious kidnapped in The Clone Wars. Plus, this opens up an outside chance of seeing Ahsoka appear, though highly unlikely.
