Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View drops on October 3, and Del Rey has released an audio chapter featuring Jon Hamm reading as Boba Fett…
Author Paul Dini sat down with USA Today and spoke about his new story featuring the most famous bounty hunter in the galaxy (Boba Fett) for the all-new collection of stories — Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View.
Speaking about Fett’s infamously intimidating look, Dini almost sounds like a Fett fanboy, himself…which we totally dig.
"The narrow, T-shaped visor gives him a look of constant scrutiny, as if he’s always sizing up a target just before he draws on him. You’re always guessing who he really is under the helmet, simply a hired gun for the highest price, or is there something more to him? What’s going on inside his head? Do we even want to know?"
As mentioned, Dini’s story about Boba Fett will be featured in A Certain Point of View, 40 stories from 40 different authors, in order to celebrate Star Wars‘ 4oth anniversary. What makes Fett’s point of view so interesting is the fact that actor Jon Hamm (Mad Men) is narrating as the bounty hunter himself.
Sounds like Hamm reading Dini’s story is exactly the right amount of Boba Fett that Star Wars fans have been wanting for years now. Now, whether or not Disney/Lucasfilm decides to make a Boba Fett Star Wars standalone film after hearing Hamm in the lead role, will remain a mystery for some time, we’re sure.
Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View will be released next week on October 3.
