Adam Driver interviews Daisy Ridley for The Last Jedi
Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley display their tight nit relationship, which is a great sign for the upcoming The Last Jedi.
In a fun discussion with VMagazine.com promoting Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Adam Driver asks Daisy Ridley the questions, with this unconventional interview style. Ridley kicks things off, admitting that she was in over her head, not knowing what Star Wars had in store for her.
"I had no sense of what I was getting into. No sense of what was really going to happen."
Driver chimed in, praising Ridley for her vision of Rey:
"When you were initially auditioning, you were just kind of going with first impulses, which really seemed to turn out to be right."
He could not be more spot on, with Ridley being the perfect casting for Rey, with her charming personality and female empowerment that paves the way for more women within a galaxy far, far away.
At first, Ridley didn’t feel that way, viewing herself through an entirely different lens:
"More from Dork Side of the ForceDaniel José Older named a High Republic Adventures character after someone specialHow animation changed Star Wars: Ewoks and DroidsKelleran Beq comes to Star Wars: Galaxy of HeroesThe Mandalorian’s Pedro Pascal becomes No. 1 on IMDb’s Starmeter for 2023Unwrapping the Star Wars LEGO Advent Calendar: Day 7We kept having to watch them, I was like, This is [expetitive] terrible. I cannot believe people are watching this. I was so embarrassed."
Don’t be embarrassed Ms. Ridley; you are flawless and complete perfection portraying Rey. Driver then asked Ridley one of her favorite aspects of being involved with the Star Wars franchise:
"I like the structure of that, of really being part of something for the duration of the day… My head was so [expetitive] after the first one came out. It was strange getting back into it, and it felt familiar and comforting."
Ridley then reveals how tight of a bond she formed with her new best friend in the galaxy:
"Becoming besties with you was the best thing."
Could this be a hint that the whole “Reylo” rumors are right, with a romance blossoming between the two dominant Force users Kylo Ren and Rey? We don’t know for sure, but there seems to be a significant bond between the two characters that Rian Johnson is sure to explore in The Last Jedi.
