"I’ve been running scams on the street since I was ten. I was kicked out of the flight academy for having a mind of my own."

Unlike the Super Bowl trailer, the newest teaser gives us much more of Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo. The narration is from Solo’s point of view, providing us with a bit of insight on the character. It’s no surprise that Han Solo has taken to running scams and embracing the life as a scoundrel — which is out of necessity, come to find out. The title “Solo,” is fitting, with the young man being on his own since the age of ten.

Han Solo appears to be on the run, likely defecting from the Empire. He has broader goals than becoming an Imperial drone, with aspirations of becoming not such a bad pilot himself.

Did you notice a particular good luck charm hanging from the dash of Han Solo’s ride? Yes, the very dice we saw in A New Hope and throughout The Last Jedi. This token means something very special to Han Solo, where we know he uses them as a good luck charm in winning the Falcon from Lando.

Another look at the squeaky clean Millenium Falcon. It makes us wonder, what kind of Intergalactic keg party did Solo throw over the years? She looks rough during the events of A New Hope, which is only about ten years or so later after the events of Solo.

Or as Anthony Breznican from Entertainment Weekly points out, maybe it’s from years of smoking cigarettes. Calrissian sure kept that ship in top-notch condition, but we wouldn’t expect anything else from the luxurious Lando.
