Star Wars Rebels Season 4: Every voice heard in The World Between Worlds
Every voice heard in Star Wars Rebels Season 4: The World Between Worlds. There are more than you could possibly imagine.
Star Wars Rebels Season 4 presented us with a pathway to some abilities some consider to be unnatural, giving us a glimpse into the netherworld of the Force. The mysterious Force gifted us with voices of the future, at least from the (certain) point of view of Ezra Bridger.
Dave Filoni brilliantly and subtly implemented famous moments from Star Wars films and other content, but it was difficult to make out. After listening numerous times, we believe we’ve encountered all of them. More importantly, Filoni and the incredible Lucasfilm story group are telling us how these events connect to the greater good of the Star Wars story, as well as to Star Wars Rebels.
"“Truly wonderful the mind of a child is.”"

"“What is this place”?"
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Star Wars: The Clone Wars — Mortis arc
No doubt Ezra was thinking the same thing Obi-Wan was, in regards to the bizarre Mortis Force segway. Admit, you were as confused as those two!

"A conduit through which the entire Force of the universe flows.”"
Qui-Gon Jinn: Star Wars: The Clone Wars — Overlords
Obi-Wan’s former Master answers our inquiry, of what this Mortis connection provides within the Lothal Jedi temple. Remember, Ezra is supposed to represent the (certain) point of view of the audience.

"“Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter.”"

"“Just when you think you understand the Force, you find out how little you actually know.”"
Ahsoka Tano: Star Wars Rebels — The Mystery of Chopper Base
Word, Ahsoka. Word. I was thinking that during the entire episode and realized the Force is much larger than I imagined. Time travel? How cool is that?!

"“Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose.”"
Yoda: Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
The lesson in which both Ahsoka and Ezra learned. Ahsoka had to let go of her Master Anakin and Ezra with Kanan. They both succeeded where Anakin Skywalker once failed.

"“What you need, you already have. Unfortunately, you seem to be letting it all go.”"

"“I won’t let him lose his way, not like I did.”"
Kanan: Star Wars Rebels — Path of the Jedi.
The former Master of Ezra, Kanan, saw to that, with Ezra’s path as clear as it’s ever been.

"“The Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It’s an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together.”"

"“Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force. Mourn them do not. Miss them do not. Attachment leads to jealously. The shadow of greed, that is.”"
Yoda: Revenge of the Sith
Another truth which Ezra accepted, especially at the end of The World between Worlds.

"“Dear child. I see your eyes. You already know the truth. Whomever you’re waiting for on Jakku… they’re never coming back. But, there’s someone who still could. The belonging you seek is not behind you… it is ahead.”"
Maz Kanata: Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Once again, Ezra needs to move forward, and the belonging he seeks is with the Rebel Alliance.

"“The time to fight is now!“"
Jyn Erso: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Fighting is what Ezra and the rest of the Rebels will do in the Star Wars Rebels Season 4 finale.

"“We’ll see each other again. I believe that.”"
Rey: The Force Awakens
That rings true of both Ezra and Kanan, as well as with he and Ahsoka.

"“Show me. Grandfather. And I will finish… what you started.”"
Kylo Ren: The Force Awakens
Honestly, not sure the purpose of Kylo Ren’s Darth Vader obsession. Knowing Dave Filoni and company, there was a purpose, but it’s lost on me.

"“The Resistance will not be intimidated by you.”"
Poe Dameron: The Force Awakens

"“This is our most desperate hour. Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You’re my only hope.”"
Princess Leia: A New Hope
Ezra will aid in the Rebellion’s most desperate hour, but may not see it come to fruition himself.

"“You never would have made it as Obi-Wan’s padawan, but you might make it as mine.”"
Anakin Skywalker: Star Wars: The Clones Wars film
A nod to time’s past, before the Dark times. Before Darth Vader.

"“Obi-Wan once thought as you do… You don’t know the power of the Dark Side.”"
Darth Vader: Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
Ahsoka thought she could reach Vader, but she finally understands the power of the Dark Side. Her Master is gone. Forever. Or so she thinks.

In the next few days, we are sure to receive more clarification on every one of these lines from Star Wars content calling out to Ezra and us within the Force. Even if it’s never explained, it made the episode much more precious and the nostalgic feels were at an all-time high. Thanks, Filoni, and company for such a memorable adventure.
Next: We know the fate of Ahsoka Tano!
Star Wars Rebels Season 4 and the series concludes next week on Disney XD, with two brand new episodes — including an hour-long finale.
