12. Chewbacca – Solo: A Star Wars Story

So before anyone starts to panic if you haven’t seen Solo: A Star Wars Story it’s okay, this part of the list is spoiler free.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is still not out on DVD or Blu-Ray yet, at least not at the time of writing anyway, so to be fair to those who choose to wait until the movie is out on DVD or Blu-Ray rather than see it in theaters. I won’t be going into the details of the scene that introduces Chewbacca only why the introduction has made the list.

Ok, so here goes.

Chewbacca is awesome. I don’t think there are many among us who would disagree with that statement. We all love Chewbacca.

However, we don’t actually know a lot about Chewbacca. His backstory is relatively unknown; if you’re a Star Wars fan who has only seen the movies, then Chewbacca isn’t much more than Han’s pal, except for that small part in Star Wars Episode III – Return of the Sith we know pretty much nothing about him prior to the original trilogy.

More: Solo: A Star Wars Story will come to Netflix

We have been crying out for more Chewbacca and more importantly how the dynamic duo came together. And we go that in Solo: A Star Wars Story. This is why his initial introduction, which it is if you view it from a timeline perspective, is so special. We are finally getting some of the answers we have been looking for.

Now I am not saying we got every answer that we sought for. But we did get a lot of them, and I’ll take some over none. That is why his intro has made the list at No. 12.
