When does Star Wars: Resistance premiere? Release date and where to watch
By Meg Dowell
Disney has announced the premiere date for Star Wars: Resistance and released a first-look trailer to officially introduce the series and its cast.
HAPPY BEEPS! It’s been a while since we received new updates about Star Wars’ next animated series (no, not The Clone Wars comeback). Finally, we have not only a release date, but a full-length trailer as well.
Disney announced its first non-CGI animated series, Star Wars: Resistance, will premiere on October 7, 2018 at 10 p.m. ET on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW. Future episodes will air on Disney XD as did episodes of Star Wars: Rebels.
It’s unclear at this time what day and time during the week episodes will air on Disney XD after the premiere.

A few familiar faces greet us in the trailer, including pilot extraordinaire Poe Dameron and our favorite droid of the sequel trilogy, BB-8.
Both Oscar Isaac and Gwendoline Christie will lend their voices to their respective characters, Poe and Captain Phasma.
The series is set before the events of The Force Awakens, and will follow a new Resistance pilot recruit, Kazuda Xiono as he completes missions for Poe and company.
The hour-long premiere will introduce a cast of new characters as Kaz takes on his first official assignment for the Resistance.
You can watch the first full trailer for the show below.
We no longer have to imagine what it’s like to fly for the Resistance. We’ll get to see it through the eyes of a young pilot sooner rather than later.
