Star Wars: Episode IX: Andy Serkis has fueled the rumor mill

Andy Serkis has had to cancel his appearance at Keystone Comic-Con, which has fueled the rumor mill that he will return in Star Wars: Episode IX.

Those who have been hoping for the return of Supreme Leader Snoke in Star Wars: Episode IX might be getting their wish provided the rumor is correct about why Andy Serkis canceled his appearance at Keystone Comic-Con.

Making the announcement via Twitter, Keystone Comic-Con made fans aware that Andy Serkis, who played Supreme Leader Snoke, was no longer attending the convention due to a scheduling conflict.

They also mention that anyone who purchased a photo op or an autograph session with the Star Wars actor will be refunded, so if that applies to you, there is some good news there.

Anyway, back to the original point. Because Serkis has dropped out, Star Wars fans everywhere have immediately started to assume that it is because he is to return as Snoke in Star Wars: Episode IX.

And you can’t really blame anybody for thinking that because it is exactly what happened with Billy Dee Williams when he canceled his convention appearance. What felt like the very next day after his cancellation, we learned he was to appear in Star Wars: Episode IX.

It also happened to Joonas Suotamo, who plays Chewbacca. He had to cancel his appearance at a convention due to Star Wars filming.

Serkis also doesn’t have any projects that he is working on, at least not publicly anyway, to add fuel to the mill.

Of course, the only problem with all of this is we watched Snoke get chopped in half in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The guy is good as dead. Then again, I also thought Darth Maul was good and dead when he was chopped in half, yet he survived….

What do you think everyone? Is this a clear sign that Snoke will be back? Or do you think it is just a coincidence? Drop a comment below and let us all know what you are thinking.
