WATCH IT: Star Wars Resistance releases extended sneak peek
Star Wars Resistance is set to premiere soon. Ahead of the show, we’re getting an extended sneak peek at what’s to come.
Star Wars Resistance is taking on a different animation style from what we’ve seen previously in Clone Wars and Rebels. While it took me a while to get used to it, the more I see of the show, the more excited I am about it. I’m all in on whatever Lucasfilm does with the animation department at this point.
The show is set to premiere on October 7 and while the show seems more geared towards kids than the other two shows did, it’s still one worth checking out. You’ll see plenty familiar faces in this series alongside a lot of new ones.
In the extended sneak peek, we get a look at the pilots in action as they train to work with Poe Dameron. “Just don’t explode” is some pretty good advice when it comes to flying. These new pilots have a lot to work on and it looks like it’ll be a fun ride to watch them as they learn.
While some of the trailer looks like it’s all fun and games, there is a seriousness to the show, too. We see that come to the forefront when we see Leia on screen. Leia is voiced by Rachel Butera, who drew attention to herself by posting a video mocking Christine Blasey Ford. It remains to be seen if this will cause any future changes to her role on the show.
Are you looking forward to Star Wars Resistance? The show premieres on October 7 on Disney Channel at 10 PM ET/PT and DisneyNOW. There will also be two extra episodes available on the DisneyNOW app and Disney Channel VOD. Don’t miss out on it.
