More from Star Wars Resistance

Right now, Kaz is in a weird place in his journey. He has the responsibility of being a spy for the Resistance and has allowed that to go to his head a bit. Kaz also is trying to figure out his place in the world after he cut ties with his father to do his own thing.

It’s an extremely tough spot and the process to get Kaz to be more open-minded and understanding has a been slow so far.

In Fuel for the Fire, we do learn more about Yeager. He may seem like the cranky elder statesman, but there’s a reason for it. He hasn’t spent his whole life – or probably even many years – on the Colossus, but there’s a reason he’s in a place that’s not easily accessible and away from the friction despite it being closer than he realizes.

We get a glimpse of that in this Sundays’ episode.
