Star Wars: The Mandalorian set photos show the Skiff and more
By Callum Gunn
Production for the upcoming Star Wars live-action series The Mandalorian is under way and set photos of the Skiff and more have been captured.
Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian, the live-action Star Wars series for the Disney streaming service is starting to take shape. Official set photos have already been released, Jon Favreau has teased a few tidbits himself, and we have even spotted a Death Trooper. And now we have on set images of a Skiff, and a trench.
The trench is the most important because everything in Star Wars has a trench. Seriously, every instalment of the Star Wars franchise has a trench and so will The Mandalorian.

The problem with a trench is it’s not very interesting to look at. But we have images showing just that, and if it the rumors are to be true, this will be for an all important scene in the series. Spoiler warning. if you wish to remain spoiler free, the you need to back out of the post now.

According to Making Star Wars, the ones who captured these all important images, have theorized that this trench will be for filming a scene involving people travelling along a lava river.
Which is pretty much where the Skiff comes in. Because if we don’t have a Skiff or some sorts then everybody would just melt. And then The Mandalorian would be the shortest TV show in history.
Anyway, the images captured show a Skiff on set, or a boat of some sorts, but we are pretty certain that it is a Skiff.
How important this Skiff and the trench will come into the The Mandalorian series is not clear. It could be huge, it could be minimal. It is good to see a Skiff back in action though as we haven’t seen on since Return of the Jedi.
