Star Wars: The Mandalorian sources confirm Carl Weathers involvement
By Callum Gunn
Carl Weathers has gone from mere speculation and rumor over his involvement in Star Wars: The Mandalorian to confirmation by sources on set.
The first ever Star Wars live-action TV series, Star Wars: The Mandalorian, is really starting to pick up pace. With the involvement of Game of Thrones actor, Pedro Pascal. Confirmation of Deadpool’s Gina Carano casting. Connections with Rogue One and more. It’s no wonder the anticipation is high already, and now we have Carl Weathers involvement; confirmed by sources to add to the hype.
Those sources come via Marking Star Wars, who were first to speculate over the involvement of the actor in the made-for-Disney-streaming service series. Discussing his involvement in their “Now, This is Podcasting! Episode 248” it was still at that point rumor.

Since then Making Star Wars has managed to get firm, and reliable, confirmation; not only of his involvement but that he has already shot several scenes of Star Wars: The Mandalorian.
That is, unfortunately, as much information as we can get for now. There are no official images, sneaky images, or anything else to go along with Carl Weathers involvement. Not even a character description.

The likelihood is, we will not get any of that until the official confirmation comes out that Weathers is involved. They’re hardly going to start dishing out pictures of him in costume, or detailing his character’s story arc, before they announce his casting.
So we need to patient for now. How long we need to be patient for is not 100 percent clear. Technically Pedro Pascal has not been officially cast. He has been offered the role but is still hashing out the details. So you can get a sense of how long this could possibly take.
As soon as we learn more, however, we let you know. Hopefully, it won’t be too long.
