A look at the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar for 2018
This year’s LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar is already sold out on the LEGO website. Which means if it is on store shelves, it may not last long this holiday season.
The holiday season is strong with this LEGO set. This year’s LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar is sold out on the LEGO website as seen here. With that said there are already twenty-four reviews that unfortunately do not make this set sound very appealing. But before any opinions are made, let’s take a closer look.
Straight from Google.com an Advent Calendar is, “a calendar containing small numbered flaps, one of which is opened on each day of Advent, typically to reveal a picture appropriate to the season.” Basically, it is a fun way to count down the days to Christmas using LEGOS. Sounds like fun, especially when Star Wars is involved!
This 307-piece set for ages 6-14 originally costs $39.99, but was lowered to $31.99.

The Advent Calendar includes characters, weapons, and models from a variety of Star Wars films. Characters include Rose, a Death Trooper, and IG-88 droid. Weapons include blaster rifles and of course an unmistakable Lightsaber. Models include General Grievous’ Starfighter, AT-ACT, Naboo Starfighter and a landspeeder. For a full description of what comes inside the festive box scroll down to the Features section of the webpage.
From the box art alone, the Christmas season appears alive and well. Christmas trees are decorated in snow and lights surrounded by gifts.
Meanwhile, several stories appear to be occurring at once from snowmen building to the AT-ACT making its way to the scene. Admittedly this scene looks to be taking place in the center of the box whereas last year’s LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar focused on one section of the box and letting the story tell itself as seen on the LEGO website here.
