And if you are hoping to see Padmé make an appearance you should prepare yourself for disappointment. It doesn’t look as though she will feature in the upcoming movie. So a bit of a bummer for Padmé fans.
There is always the possibility that Portman is lying. She may be making an appearance but is just under strict instructions not to say so. Considering the intense Star Wars: Episode IX security to ensure leaks do not get out. And consider there are cast members out there who we still have no idea who they will be. It’s always possible. If you are hoping for a slither of hope.
I do think it is unlikely, however. I think if Padmé was returning Star Wars would have wanted to announce it. There are a lot of fans of the Ambassador so it would be great PR for Star Wars: Episode IX. But I can’t see it happening.
