When Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released fans were treated to a new voice to bark orders at First Order troopers. Then in The Last Jedi her voice was silenced.
The First Order stormtroopers are seemingly without a leader as Captain Phasma appears to be dead. Who will be the new voice over the Stormtroopers? Not too mention the new elite troopers that have been rumored to appear in Star Wars: Episode IX. Not sure what their role will be, perhaps a new Death Trooper of sorts.
Unless, Phasma is not dead and comes back perhaps with new armor to continue to lead the troopers. She was marketed as an important character and then much like Darth Maul was offed before she could really strut her stuff.

It would make sense to bring her back in some fashion. She could still be a useful character and needs to be developed more. I think she deserved more than a death fall that seems so anticlimactic and disappointing.
Upon it’s release director J.J. Abrams was asked who his favorite character was. His response? “Captain Phasma, I really like her.”
Abrams can right a wrong and bring her back and at least give her some justice.
Perhaps have her kill Finn. That would be a twist. A villain actually killing someone of importance. That could really open up theatrical doors for future endeavors while giving Phasma some real meat as a character.
The question is, is Abrams daring enough to go somewhere no Star Wars film has taken up yet? Sure Anakin killed younglings and other Jedi, but they were not main characters.
This could be a way to redeem the franchise and please fans.
Episode IX is scheduled to release December 20, 2019.
