More from Star Wars Comics

Here are the three Star Wars comics coming this week:

Star Wars Adventures No. 17

This week’s Star Wars Adventures No. 17 showcases Kaz from Star Wars Resistance. This issues still takes before The Force Awakens, so BB-8 is running around with Kaz aboard the Colossus.

This issue of Star Wars Adventures is written by Star Wars Resistance show writers, tying the comic into the Disney Channel series. Here’s another adventure with Kaz that we’re looking forward to.

Here’s the synopsis from IDW Publishing (the last sentence makes it feel as though this comic might have been intended to come out sooner):

"Welcome to the Resistance! In the time before The Force Awakens, this all-new adventure follows the fledgling Resistance as it begins to realize the growing threat of the First Order! Based on Star Wars Resistance, an exciting new animated series coming to Disney Channel this fall!"

Solo: A Star Wars Story Adaptation No. 4

The comic adaptation for Solo: A Star Wars Story continues with the next chapter in the saga, which sees Solo, Lando, Chewbacca, Beckett, Qi-Ra and L7 make it to Kessel. If you saw the movie, you know what happens next. But I’m here for the droid revolution.

We don’t get the Kessel Run just yet. That’s in the next issue. Yet there is still plenty to digest as a large part of the story is spent in the cozy confines of the Millennium Falcon.

Here’s the synopsis from Marvel Comics:

"THE KESSEL RUN! HAN, CHEWBACCA and QI’RA have one chance to keep DRYDEN VOS from killing them…teaming up with LANDO and L3 to pull off the impossible KESSEL RUN heist! But if they succeed, will ENFYS NEST once again take their stolen goods?"

Doctor Aphra No. 28

Is Aphra ever going to get rid of Triple-Zero? It seems the two are still attached to the hip because if they separate, they will both be killed from a proximity bomb. Aphra needs to help from old acquaintances, ones she kind of tricked to get what she wanted in the past.

Let’s see how she gets herself out of this mess.

Here’s the synopsis from Marvel Comics:

"“WORST AMONG EQUALS” PART THREE! With a huge price on their heads, rogue archaeologist DOCTOR APHRA and her murder-droid companion TRIPLE-ZERO are hunted wherever they run. Of all their pursuers, you might think the deadliest danger comes from the EMPIRE-backed cops…or the deranged undead bounty hunter…or the relentless monster trappers — right? Nope. Because the entire population has tuned in to watch the chase through Triple-Zero’s eyes, and EVERYONE has a shot at that reward…"
