Attention all comic book fans! Free Comic Book Day has revealed its 2024 lineup, including its Star Wars titles. As of right now, there are two books for a galaxy far, far away. That said, this Free Comic Book Day will also fall on May the Fourth, so time will tell if anything else will be added later.

The first book is Star Wars/Darth Vader #1, and the comic book news and podcast Star Wars Splash Page shared the details for the book on their Twitter account. The summary of the book is:

"Are there Rebel survivors stranded on Hoth? Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Lando Calrissian, and Chewbacca mount a dangerous rescue mission to Echo Base! Lightsabers! Blasters! Snowtroopers! All-out action amongst the wreckage of AT-AT walkers, Rebel airspeeders, and frozen weapons of mass destruction!Darth Vader employs a surprise character from the past to help him find Luke Skywalker. But Sabé, former handmaiden of Padmé Amidala, is also on a quest for the son of Vader. Having worked for him as an Imperial Commander, Sabé has enough resources to cause chaos for anyone who stands in her path. How will this affect the Dark Lord’s plans to remove Palpatine from power?"

Star Wars/Darth Vader #1 is from Marvel Comics.

The other book comes from Dark Horse Comics, who recently took over the all-ages titles from IDW. While a summary has not been released, the cover art reveals a crossover between the animated series Young Jedi Adventures and the all-ages comic Star Wars: The High Adventures. Qort, one of the main characters of the comic, is featured alongside Nubs, voiced by The Clone Wars and The Bad Batch’s Dee Bradley Baker. While it isn’t the final cover artwork, it’s an exciting first look.

Free Comic Book Day is an annual event on the first Saturday in May. It’s common for local comic book stores to host special guests and their best deals of the year, so check out your shop near you! You can find the full 2024 lineup from Marvel, DC Comics, Image Comics, and more on the Free Comic Book Day website.
