Entrepreneur Elon Musk was spotted on the set of The Mandalorian. Is he headed for a Star Wars cameo?

The world-renowned Elon Musk was recently spotted on the set of The Mandalorian, the live-action Star Wars series.

The first question that popped into many people’s minds when they saw the image on Jon Favreau’s Instagram was: Why?

More from The Mandalorian

My initial reaction was that Elon Musk is rich and has friends in high places. If he wants to visit a Star Wars set, Elon Musk gets to visit a Star Wars set. I didn’t think much of it until the speculation posts starting combing the internet.

Will Elon Musk make a cameo in The Mandalorian?

My guess is probably not, even though Musk is a self-proclaimed huge Star Wars fan.

(Though it wouldn’t be the first time Mush made an appearance in one of Favreau’s films)

Musk was likely on set, checking out all the craziness and throwing around some Star Wars weaponry. Musk initially posted a photo on his Twitter that sent the internet in tizzy trying to figure out where he was. Favreau confirmed it was on the set of The Mandalorian.

While these images don’t give away much, it’s still cool to see a partial set and props that will be used. There hasn’t been too much coming out of The Mandalorian camp, especially with Star Wars: Episode IX on the horizon.

There is so much Star Wars happening in 2019, it’s almost hard to keep up – or really decipher what rumors are really true or even have a semblance of truth.

When it comes to Musk, at least he got us a pic from the set. We’ll just have to see where that double-barrel gun winds up in The Mandalorian and see if we could spot it when the live-action series finally premieres on Disney+ later this year.
