Is Star Wars: The Clone Wars leaving Netflix — for real this time? The show may be set for departure sooner than expected.

If you were planning a massive re-watch of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series on Netflix sometime this year, you might want to start binging sooner rather than later.

According to the details tab on Netflix, the show will continue to be available for streaming as usual until April 7, 2019.

It appears, however, that the animated film will remain on the platform — there is no availability notice for it.

Does this sound familiar? That’s because this isn’t the first time Netflix has warned viewers the show was set for departure.

It’s happened several times over the past few years, but each time, the show has stayed put. Will this be another fakeout, or is the show really going away?

More from Star Wars TV Shows

The relationship between Disney and Netflix is changing rapidly, and Star Wars content is among a small portion of Netflix’s available content that is heading to a different digital platform.

With Disney launching its own streaming service, Disney+, sometime this fall, it’s likely the series really is leaving Netflix this time. Especially since the show is returning for a seventh season and will likely be available for streaming.

If The Clone Wars really is on its way off Netflix forever, there’s a good chance it won’t be unavailable for streaming for long.

If you plan on subscribing to Disney+, you’ll likely have access to the show eventually. And you’ll definitely be able to watch brand-new original Star Wars shows like The Mandalorian, which you won’t want to miss!
