Disneyland’s hotels sold out ahead of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opening
If you plan on going to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland, all three of its hotels are booked. But that is not all you need to know about the May 31 opening.
Although Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland is not opening until May 31, Disneyland’s three hotels: Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Paradise Pier and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel are sold out.
For those lucky enough to have booked their hotel stay in time, they “will automatically receive a reservation to Galaxy’s Edge.” Disneyland Hotels Completely Sold Out Ahead of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Opening, states that “for guests not staying at an official Disney hotel as they must purchase a Disneyland ticket and then reserve no-cost entry between May 31 and June 23, 2019.”
But if you don’t mind waiting a little while, after June 24 special reservations will no longer be required. Yet, you can still expect the park to be very busy as fans enjoy Disney’s newest theme park.
However, the idea of experiencing Galaxy’s Edge on opening day with countless other devoted fans is pretty strong. Be aware that while Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will be ready opening day, Rise of the Resistance will not.
But there will be other attractions ready for fans such as making your own lightsaber.
How Walt Disney World will handle the large crowds once Galaxy’s Edge opens August 29th remains to be seen. For more information about Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge including dining, merchandise, and attractions click here.
