Star Wars: Episode IX theories confirmed thanks to the teaser trailer

The Emperor

While it was certainly a big surprise for Star Wars fans to hear the laughter of The Emperor at the very end of the teaser trailer. It would not have been as big a shock to those who had been predicting his return to the franchise for some time now.

There have been so many rumors and theories about The Emperor returning in the final installment of the Skywalker saga, that I have no doubt many fans yelled; “Yes! I knew it!” when they heard his laughter.

There is, obviously, a lot of questions surrounding his return. The main one being how?

There is also the question of who as well. Ian McDiarmid is the main, and really only, choice. But those earlier reports of Matt Smith taking on the role of Young Emperor Palpatine are out there; reports we should not disregard so freely.

Either way though, The Emperor is back and that is pretty awesome.

An iconic Lightsaber will return

Questions over the iconic Skywalker Lightsaber have been asked since the end of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. As at the end of the movie, the Lightsaber had been broken beyond repair; or at least it seemed to be anyway.

Reports have come out since the movie ended explaining how the famous Lightsaber was 100% damaged beyond repair and would not return in the final installment. While other reports claimed the exact opposite.

We got our answer in the teaser trailer however when Rey ignited the iconic blade.
