With three new Star Wars movies on the horizon, here’s who we’d like to see be cast in a galaxy far, far away.

Last month, Lucasfilm announced three new Star Wars movies starting with David Benioff and D.B. Weiss’s project in December 2022, followed by films in 2024 and 2026. There’s also a Rian Johnson trilogy in the works, but there’s been plenty of silence around it besides the fact that it’s still happening.

With The Rise of Skywalker closing out the Skywalker Saga this December, we have a long three years to wait until the next theatrical installment in the franchise.

It’s possible we could get a “Future Filmmakers” panel at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim in August 2020, which would put any rumors to rest. Until then, however, we’re left pondering who is heading up the future films, what are they about—it’s currently rumored that a Knights of the Old Republic adaptation is in the works—and who will take center stage during the generation of Star Wars filmmaking.

Here is our list, in no particular order, of who we’d like to see cast in the next phase of movies beginning in 2022.
