Daisy Ridley may be up for a role in another big movie franchise
Daisy Ridley has life beyond Rey. She may up for a part in another mega franchise.
Being a part of one of the all-time greatest franchises is amazing for any actor. But what about potentially being a part of two?
Apparently, Daisy Ridley is being considered for a role in the DC Universe, according to a report.

"We’re hearing from our sources that the studio are very close to announcing their casting for the role, with Daisy Ridley being one of their top choices (Katherine Langford is said to be another one). And though nothing’s been confirmed just yet, this certainly sounds like a smart pick to me, as I think Ridley’s proven many times over that she’s got what it takes to step into Barbara Gordon’s Batsuit."
Batgirl is an interesting character – and one of my all-time favorites. DC hasn’t had a great run when it comes to its movies, but has had more success with its television shows.
Batgirl hasn’t been in a movie since 1997. Alicia Silverstone played the part Batman and Robin.
There are few factors that are working for and against Ridley in this role.
Ridley is good as Rey. She’s proven herself over the course of two films, and the trailer for Episode IX has given many Star Wars fans reasons to get exciting as her training as a Jedi has progressed.
While she’s not doing her own stunts, Ridley is doing plenty to showcase that she can do action from her role as Rey.
Ridley has done a few other roles in between her Star Wars movies such as Ophelia, showing she has a range of acting.
Perhaps she would do well as Batgirl.
I did hope that a role like Batgirl would go to an up-and-comer, someone who is looking for that big break out role that many of us have never heard of.
I look forward to see who will eventually be in that role whether it’s Ridley or someone else.
