It’s Wednesday, which means it’s another week of new Star Wars comics. Three new releases are out this week, including Finn’s back story.

There are three new Star Wars comics hitting shops this week, including an Age of Resistance release and a new miniseries.

Star Wars: Age of Resistance Finn No. 1

More from Star Wars Comics

We met FN-2187 in The Force Awakens. Finn didn’t want to be part of the First Order and fled while helping Poe Dameron escape.

But his life before we met him couldn’t have been boring in the First Order even though he was a janitor. This issue seems to give us the beginning of Finn’s questioning his being part of the First Order.

Here’s the synopsis from Marvel:

"A LITTLE REBELLION! Before he was a rebel hero, FINN had another calling. He was… a janitor. But how could this lead FN-2187 to question everything? How much action can someone see mopping floors and dealing with a pest problem? It turns out, a whole lot."

Star Wars: Target Vader No. 1

Darth Vader made plenty of enemies along the way – how could he not? Doing the Empire’s bidding, he instilled fear and hatred in the lives of the people he effected.

Target Vader No. 1 is the start of a new miniseries. As Vader intends on taking down a criminal syndicate, the same syndicate has hired a group of bounty hunters to hunt Vader. While we know who wins in the end, it’s the journey that counts.

Here’s the synopsis from Marvel:

"THE HUNTER! DARTH VADER is on the hunt for a mysterious criminal syndicate operating outside of THE EMPIRE’s rule. But little does he know he’s being hunted by a group of the galaxy’s deadliest bounty hunters, hired by the syndicate to take out Vader once and for all. Led by fallen Imperial Officer BEILERT VALANCE, this ragtag group of assassins will stop at nothing to kill the biggest bounty of their lives."

Star Wars Adventures No. 23

The Star Wars Adventures from IDW Publishing is fun look at characters in the franchise. While these stories aren’t considered part of the canon, they’re fun nonetheless and still take on the spirit of Star Wars.

This week’s story follows Chewbacca and Lando aboard the Millennium Falcon on a mission for the Rebel Alliance. But where is Han Solo?

As always, Star Wars Adventures includes a second minis-story in Tales from Wild Space. This time we get to hang out with Jabba and Bib Fortuna.

Here’s the synopsis from IDW Publishing:

"Join Lando Calrissian and Chewbacca aboard the Millennium Falcon for another rollicking mission on behalf of the Rebel Alliance!"
