Are you ready to be surprised? Joonas Suotamo thinks Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will keep fans “on their toes.”

Star Wars is known for big moments. Wait, not just big, but HUGE!

It’s the king of twists,  turns, and the “I didn’t see that coming” moments when you consider Darth Vader’s amazing reveal.

More from Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker

Perhaps Episode IX will channel some of that — at least that’s what Joonas Suotamo, the actor who plays Chewbacca in The Rise of Skywalker wants us to believe.

In a tweet responding to IMDB’s account in which it asks, “What is your favorite I did not see that coming” movie moment, Suotamo says his next film.

So what can we possibly be in for?

quick peek at IMDB.com shows his next film is Episode IX.

Without knowing much about The Rise of Skywalker, there already seems as though there is going to be a lot to unpack. Not just for J.J. Abrams and the crew, but the fans as well.

Rey’s parentage will be addressed, but we have no idea what that means. Simply that we will get a definitive answer to the question. Yet that could very well be a twist we didn’t see coming. Perhaps Rey’s parents are paupers dead in a grave or she’s the child of Obi-Wan or Palpatine created her much like Anakin … OR ANYTHING ELSE!

The twist could be how Palpatine has been around all this time playing each and every person as though he were God, creating situations and scenarios for his own amusement.

Maybe it’s that Matt Smith was never in the movie to begin with since we are all waiting for his character to show.

Or Han Solo shows up again.

Or nothing we even considered because Abrams is one step ahead of all the Star Wars fans.

And I’m here for the surprises because there’s one thing about writing for a Star Wars site and that’s the chance to be spoiled at every turn. I want surprises, I want to gasp in the theater. I want a thrilling ride to end the Skywalker Saga.
