Let the excitement for Star Wars’ The Mandalorian continue.

Favreau is clearly excited for the new live-action series. Before he took a few questions on the new series, he flashed his Boba Fett socks.

When asked by Kimmel about the new series, which will be available for streaming on Disney+ beginning November 12, Favreau said:

"“It’s honestly like turning over your toy chest and playing with all the Star Wars toys together. We’re having a great time. It’s all new characters. It’s going to be on Disney+ coming up in the fall. And we’re done with the first season. I was actually writing part of the second season now.”"

The most important takeaway from Favreau’s quote is that he is already working on the second season ofThe Mandalorian . So, before we even get a real glimpse of this new show, Favreau is already in the early stages of working on season two.

Favreau also noted the series will take place after Return of the Jedi, which means the events will be after the fall of the Empire. He mentions the series shows chaos ensuing after the rule of law is taken away, with a main focus on bounty hunters.

So, expect this series to explore a part of the galaxy that hasn’t really been seen in great detail before.

With The Mandalorian beginning in November and The Rise of Skywalker hitting theaters in December, these next few months look to be exciting times for fans.
