As though the show couldn’t seem to get any better, and yet it did.
The cast of The Mandalorian is fantastic in its picks but also in diversity. It already features Pedro Pascal, Gina Carrano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito and so many more.
There are so many different types of people from different walks of life and it’s such a good thing to see them all because that’s how you would imagine space to be.
With a lore as rich as Star Wars and a giant galaxy to play with, the amount of different people and aliens is vast. With the Unknown Regions thrown in, it’s practucally endless. That’s why the news of Ming-Na Wen as part of the show is a welcomed one.
She is a fantastic actor and good role model for Star Wars fans. Wen has played the bad ass well, but also has a softer side. It sounds a lot like The Mandalorian itself.
While we don’t know the specifics of her role — and we wonder why her inclusion was held out for so long — it’s exciting to imagine how she will be utilized.
Iger was at D23 Expo when he made the announcement. It’s likely it came before tonight’s Disney+ panel, which is expected to feature a trailer for The Mandalorian, so fans will be ready to see her.
The Mandalorian is scheduled to hit Disney+ on November 12, the same day the streaming service launches.
