By Callum Gunn
A new movie still of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has been released and fans are debating what it shows, we think we know what it is.
It’s a good weekend for Star Wars fans. Yesterday, we got an official image release of the Knights of Ren and today we are getting a movie still Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Both images have come via Empire Magazine, who is advertising its upcoming November issue that will be dedicated to the final installment in the Skywalker saga.

The new movie still has got the fandom talking over what is happening in this scene. Showing Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, we see him standing up and resisting whatever force is knocking over and driving back the First Order Stormtroopers in the background like an absolute tank.
We can’t see what is producing this force, but whatever it is, it has created a bright light. Some fans have mentioned how it could be some use of the force from Rey and this is the beginning of the titanic battle between both Rey and Kylo that has been foreshadowed.
There are other interesting suggestions of what could be happening in this moment as well, but the most likely thing that has happened in this scene doesn’t involve the force or some other never before seen thing; it is our favorite hunk of junk, the Millennium Falcon.

We obviously don’t know this for sure, but the image shows Kylo and the First Order Stormtroopers in a hanger and given that the everyone, except Kylo the tank, has been blasted back by some force that emits a blue light, similar to the Falcon’s engines, it would be a good bet that someone, probably Rey and Chewie are escaping the clutches of the First Order in the Falcon.
Which, makes me wonder how did they get caught in the first place?
